Chicago Students Shine from the Big Screen to the Runway
WHAT:
The stage is set for FAME 2010. The fifth annual Fashion and Media Extravaganza will showcase the best fashion, design, films and animation created by students at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago. Filmmaking and animation students will fill the big screen with their most original, creative and artistic shorts. The runway show features both ready-to-wear and avante garde designs by fashion design students. The model will be walking a stage created by one of the college’s talented interior design students.
WHO:
NBC 5 Chicago anchor and reporter Nesita Kwan will serve as emcee for the night fashion show alongside Erica Strama from The Shops at North Bridge.
In addition to the original student work at the show, The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago will feature designs by Crescendo Apparel, a design house started by two graduates of the college.
